Extend Logical Volume

Use -L if -l does not work

lvextend -L +80G /dev/ndc-vg/lv-opt
lvextend -l +100%FREE /dev/ndc-vg/lv-var
lvextend -l +100%FREE /dev/centos76_vg/root
lvextend -l +100%FREE /dev/ubuntu-vg/ubuntu-lv
lvextend -l +100%FREE /dev/ubuntu-vg/lv-root

Resize blocks

From df

resize2fs /dev/mapper/ndc--vg-lv--opt
resize2fs /dev/mapper/ndc--vg-lv--var
resize2fs /dev/mapper/centos76_vg-root
resize2fs /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv
resize2fs /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-lv--root

Adding a new disk and extending the exisiting volume group

# Create physical volume on vdb
pvcreate /dev/vdb

# Find your volume group name (from vgdisplay output)
vgdisplay

# Extend the volume group with vdb
vgextend <your-vg-name> /dev/vdb

# Now you can extend your logical volume
lvextend -l +100%FREE /dev/<vg-name>/<lv-name>

# Resize the filesystem
# For ext4:
resize2fs /dev/<vg-name>/<lv-name>
# For xfs:
xfs_growfs /mount/point
